A city full of possibilities

The municipality of Altensteig is located in Baden-Württemberg and belongs to the Calw district. The small town has around 10,000 inhabitants (as of the end of 2022), spread over an area of ​​53,000 square meters. Surrounded by the neighboring communities of Neuweiler, Neubulach, Wildberg, Ebhausen, Rohrdorf, Haiterbach, Pfalzgrafenweiler, Egenhausen, Wörnersberg, Grömbach and Simmersberg, Altensteig is located on the upper reaches of the Nagold (Enz) and borders the northern part of the Black Forest. The historic small town is characterized by Protestant influence and is a cultural attraction with its medieval old town and the “Old Castle”.

In terms of infrastructure, Altensteig is well developed. Inside, the community can be reached by various bus routes. Destinations outside the small town can be reached from the “Altensteig Rathaus” stop by bus X77 in the direction of “Herrenberg Kalkhofenstraße”. Calw can be reached by car in under 30 minutes via highway 362 and Stuttgart in approx. 70 minutes.
