PICEA, PHOTOVOLTAICS AND HEAT PUMP

In addition to the correct thermal insulation, efficient system technology is required for the energy-saving operation of a residential building. Not every technology that sounds good is suitable for every building, because in terms of sustainability aspects, in addition to possible energy and emission savings, the aspects of investment costs, amortization, service life, reliability, as well as replacement procurement and maintenance costs also play a role. In recent years we have equipped our houses with controlled domestic ventilation with heat recovery (enthalpy heat exchanger) as well as modern fuel cell heating systems.

From 2022, we will herald an evolution in our newly started construction projects. In the past, we have always refused to install heat pump heating systems, especially rather inefficient air-to-water heat pumps with high power requirements. Even in conjunction with a photovoltaic system, which naturally provides the least amount of electricity in seasons with high heating requirements (so-called “dark doldrums”), heat pump heaters seemed less ecological to us. Even if you use a green electricity tariff, the electricity supplier still supplies a significant proportion of electricity during this time that comes from non-renewable energy sources such as gas power plants, coal-fired power plants, etc.

The company HPS Home Power Solutions GmbH from Berlin has found a solution to this problem with its product picea. picea is the world's first all-season electricity storage system for homes. picea is installed in your home and supplies you with CO2-free electricity all year round and around the clock. picea is powered only by the sun via long-lasting high-performance photovoltaic modules, for example from Meyer-Burger, on the roof. In addition, you receive a highly efficient brine-water heat pump from manufacturers such as Brötje and is therefore not an air heat pump, but a much more efficient use of geothermal energy, which is extracted from the ground using geocollectors. All products are “Made in Germany”. This makes your household independent of the power grid. With picea you can complete your personal energy transition – immediately and 100%. Electricity price increases, upcoming CO2 taxes, reductions in feed-in tariffs and even power outages no longer affect you - you are free and independent with your own electricity

Munich - Trudering

The Trudering district of Munich has its own, very special charm. The residential area, which is very green due to its direct connection to the Truderinger Forest, exudes an open and cozy flair.
