A townhouse such as one might marvel at in Florence. And that is exactly what former owner and dairy magnate Bankow intended, when he had this magnificent upper-class apartment building created in the style of a Florentine city palace at the end of the 19th century. Like many of his contemporaries, he had succumbed to the charm of Italian architecture. What luck, because we can still enjoy the well-preserved red clinker brick facade with its splendid stucco and sandstone structures and the artistically crafted wrought-iron balcony grilles. Townhouse Rosso stands shoulder to shoulder with townhouse Verona, both forming a harmonious unit. The interiors also follow the palazzo style with imposing room heights of over three meters and apartment sizes between 86 and 179 m². Six apartments with contemporary floor plans and modern outfitting features, all of which can be easily reached by elevator, are available in the Rosso townhouse.

Once upon a time these were stable buildings, erected in the typical construction method of the time with exposed and plastered masonry. At the end of the 19th century, the remise was converted into residential buildings and additional floors were added. A tasteful interior delights the heart, just as you want it to be.

TOWNHOUSE Verona

Like a close confidante, the Verona townhouse nestles against the neighboring Rosso townhouse and yet has its very own charisma. At the same time the townhouse, built by a dairy magnate named Bankow, is the oldest building on Geschwister -Scholl- Strasse. As early as 1879, one floor was added, and in 1896 a balcony facing the street was added. The wrought-iron balcony grilles create a nice contrast to the sand-colored facade. Four apartments, spread over four floors, breathe new life into the townhouse: on living areas of 90 to 118 m², the new residents can expect elegance with modern comforts.
