Hattersheim am Main, with almost 28,000 inhabitants, is located in the Main-Taunus district in southern Hesse - centrally in the Rhine-Main area between the cities of Frankfurt am Main, Mainz and Wiesbaden. As a result, Hattersheim is optimally connected to the transport infrastructure in the Rhine-Main area. In the northwest near the construction area is the A 66 (Hattersheim) and in the northeast the airport tangent B40 (Hattersheim Ost).

With the Hattersheim (Main) train station, there is a connection from Frankfurt am Main to Wiesbaden within walking distance and in the immediate vicinity of the project. Trains on line S1 of the Rhein-Main S-Bahn stop here. There is also a station on the Taunus railway in Eddersheim. A total of five bus lines operate in Hattersheim. The lines connect the city with the train station with their respective ring-shaped lines.
