Assisted residential living by the spa park

In the senior residential complex on Hauptstraße in Schonach, a total of 13 barrier-free condominiums will be developed by the end of 2027, along with a shared community space and a day-care facility for 15 to 18 people.

The assisted residential complex closes a gap in the main street and connects it directly to the spa park. Construction will begin in mid-2026, with completion scheduled for the end of 2027. Care services will be provided by Sozialstation St. Marien Raumschaft Triberg e.V., which will also operate the day-care facility.

Each resident lives independently in their own apartment and largely manages daily life on their own. At the same time, the concept promotes a supportive and community-oriented residential environment.

There is no age requirement for purchasing a condominium. However, usage is restricted so that units may only be occupied by persons aged 60 or older, or by individuals who are permanently in need of care or severely disabled (degree of disability of at least 50%) in accordance with § 2 para. 2 SGB IX. If several persons occupy a unit, the intended use is fulfilled if at least one person meets these criteria.

Care concept

The care concept combines independent residential living with support tailored to individual needs. The basic service fee of €80 per month per apartment includes everyday advice, assistance with organising support services and the promotion of community life.

Additional optional services such as outpatient care, domestic assistance or further support services can be booked individually. The service provider is Sozialstation St. Marien Raumschaft Triberg e.V., which also operates the on-site day-care facility.

The assisted residential complex has been designed to be largely barrier-free by the architect. DIN 18040, Part 2 for barrier-free residential living serves as one of the key planning standards.
