Location & surroundings
Green charm
On the far east of the Leverkusen city area on the foothills of the Bergisches Land lies Steinbüchel and is thus the most rural area of the city. in the immediate vicinity there are recreation and nature reserves such as the Bürgerbusch and Lake Oulu. the scenic surroundings can be explored well by bike and are also very popular with walkers and hikers.
But Steinbüchel has more to offer than “just” green surroundings: quality of life, economy, and job market have developed particularly well in Leverkusen in recent years. the city invests heavily in housing and education – Steinbüchel benefits from this too.
Village character
Steinbüchel impresses with its mature structures; the village image is characterized by single-family houses and tree-lined streets as well as some historic buildings.
For daily needs there are easily accessible supermarkets and bakeries – both in Steinbüchel itself and in neighboring Lützenkirchen. eateries are also not neglected: cafés and restaurants offer a varied selection of small and large dishes of traditional and international cuisine.
Leisure activities
Sports enthusiasts and those who want to become one have the choice between two gyms, the local tennis club, and SSV Lützenkirchen. this sports club offers numerous mass sports for sports enthusiasts of all ages. moreover, the open landscape around Steinbüchel invites jogging and cycling.

The PAESCHKE Unternehmensgruppe is also building a day-care center adjacent to the new residential area, which will be completed in summer 2023. other day-care centers of various providers are located in the area.
Within a radius of less than four kilometers every type of school from primary to vocational college is represented.
There & back
In Steinbüchel you live centrally between the Rhine metropolises of Cologne and Düsseldorf, which you can reach in approx. 30 minutes by car (approx. 5 km to the A 3).
Even closer is the Leverkusen city center, approx. 10 minutes by car away. with the tightly timed public transport, non-drivers are also conveniently there in about 30 minutes.
