Location description
The Tegel district, located in the southwest of Reinickendorf, is known for Tegel Lake, a popular destination for excursions. At its northern end stands Humboldt Palace, privately owned by the descendants who still partly reside there. In the adjoining park stands the “Dicke Marie”, believed to be Berlin’s oldest tree.
The project itself is located just a one-minute walk from the Borsigwerke underground station.
Northwest of Alt-Tegel, where little remains of its village past, lies the main artery “Berliner Straße” with shops for daily needs and the former Borsig works.
