Your new family home is being built in the "Taunus quarter", a beautiful new development area on the outskirts of Idstein. Bad Homburger Straße is located on a south-western slope with a view of the town and the Taunus forests. You can reach the construction site via the L3026 in the direction of Niedernhausen.

The Project

Architecture

The houses score points through their clearly structured facades. Large, finely subdivided windows underline the exterior's harmonious character. Colours, shapes and materials are carefully coordinated. The concept convinces through successfully distinguished and clearly allocated areas for different uses. Working with daylight exposure was a specific challenge taken up by our architects.

Construction

The house is built from solid masonry and has a full basement. EnEV 2016 energy efficiency requirements are met. Foundations and floor slabs are in concrete. Outer walls and the load-bearing inner walls are made of sand-lime brick masonry. Floors/ceilings consist of reinforced concrete. Staircases have a filigree steel structure with wooden steps. Thermal plasterwork is applied to the external masonry to increase the thermal insulation value.

Outdoor areas

Walkways are paved and the terrace covered with large-format pavers. The remaining property plot is sown with lawn and planted with various shrubs and ornamentals.

Outfitting

Synthetic-framed windows with thermal insulation glazing and an external aluminium window sill are installed. The windows set into the the facade and opening into the bathroom and toilet are fitted with frosted glass.
Window handles consist of concealed-version one-hand turn-tilt or one-hand turn fittings.
All windows set into the house facade (except basement windows) are fitted with electrically operated roller shutters made of plastic sliding profiles.
White, plastic-coated interior doors are installed with fittings based on samples.
The bathrooms and toilets are tiled to door height.
Acrylic bathtub and amenities in colours of your choice. Low-voltage lights are installed in the ceiling above the vanity unit which has a large-sized mirror surface.
Bathrooms and kitchens are given tiled floors of your choice The shower area is tiled at the floor with a drainage channel.
Floors in living and sleeping areas are laid with parquet and fitted with matching skirting boards.
Ceilings and walls are papered and hung with woodchip wallpaper.
The house is fitted with a large number of electrical switches (large format switches) and sockets. Telephone connections and TV cabling connections as you wish.
All rooms in the house have underfloor heating. Room temperature is controlled individually in each room.
The house has a fireplace with fireproof glazing.
Exterior lighting in front of house entrances is activated via motion detectors.

The location

Idstein - a mature town with a long tradition.

The Hexenturm (Witches' Tower), the castle and medieval half-timbered houses with slate roofs characterise the city centre. Here history becomes the present. Nevertheless, Idstein is open to everything new. This is demonstrated, among other things, by numerous shops in the comfortable pedestrianised zone. You'll find a variety of outlets and suppliers here that make shopping a pleasure. Whether you are looking for a fashionable boutique or a supermarket, everything's on hand here.

Idstein is a town of schools. Elementary school, secondary school, junior high school, high school, special school and an adult education center provide a wide range of educational opportunities.
