Project description

Wohngenossenschaft Fleur de Selent eG
In the new Wehdenweg / Küsterredderkoppel residential area in Selent, two contemporary multifamily residences are being developed with two full floors and a penthouse level. These solidly constructed homes meet all the standards of a KfW Efficiency House 40 NH and the latest Energy Saving Ordinance, ensuring minimized energy consumption through high-quality, sustainable design. The combination of clinker brick and flat roof creates an appealing exterior that blends well into the neighborhood. Parking spaces for cars and bicycles are located on the north side of the buildings. Monthly usage fees are €30 for subsidized (WBS) apartments and €40 for privately financed units. Floor-to-ceiling or wide triple-glazed windows ensure excellent daylighting, and each unit includes a balcony or terrace as an extension of the living space.
The cooperative living concept gives each resident member a degree of flexibility in designing their own home. Walls are finished with smooth gypsum plaster, allowing for individual color choices, and a range of high-quality tile and flooring options is available. Our goal is to make you feel at home — and that includes the freedom to personalize your interior design. To ensure high-quality living for everyone, the following measures were implemented:
- Barrier-reduced and threshold-free access and entry areas served by a passenger lift
- Open kitchen designs integrated with the dining and living areas to encourage social interaction
- Straightforward, timeless bathroom design with flush walk-in showers and non-slip flooring
- Maximum comfort with underfloor heating, allowing greater freedom in furniture placement
- Ventilation systems with room-specific, demand-based controlled supply and exhaust air for a healthy indoor climate
Location
The municipality of Selent lies between the Baltic Sea and Holstein Switzerland, right on the Selenter See — the second-largest lake in Schleswig-Holstein — and is home to around 1,600 residents. Selent is situated along federal road B202, which connects Kiel to Lütjenburg. The state capital Kiel, district capital Plön, and the towns of Preetz, Schwentinental, and Lütjenburg are all easily reached by car or bus. Public transport is provided by the Plön district transport company, with additional flexible public mobility via the ALFA (on-call bus service) offered by the Amt Selent/Schlesen, particularly in the evenings and on weekends.
Selent provides full school and preschool services including a primary and community school, an open all-day school, and additional daycare and childcare facilities. A range of shops, a weekly market, hairdressers, doctors, and a pharmacy ensure everyday needs are well covered. Additional amenities include local trades and service providers, restaurants, car dealerships and repair shops, a post office, bank branches, a care service, and assisted living. The Selenter See offers extensive leisure opportunities, with several swimming areas and sailing harbors. Community life is enriched by organizations such as the volunteer fire brigade, local sports clubs, the rural women’s association, and many other social groups.
