Inspired by Lübeck’s historic townhouses, the park-facing façades feature distinctive red brick. A design competition defined the visual identity of the NEUE MEILE quarter. These new townhouses reinterpret the classic style and bring it into the present day.

A new urban quarter
The UP TOWN development spans two building plots within the NEUE MEILE quarter, located on the site of Lübeck’s former freight station.
Here, Lübeck reclaims a once industrial and inaccessible space. The WOHNKOMPANIE Nord is creating a lively new neighbourhood where homes, workplaces, and recreational spaces blend together. In addition to the central park, the plans include a hotel, retail and gastronomy in the freight hall, a daycare centre, micro-apartments for students and seniors, apartments, and townhouses.
