And that is exactly what the dairy owner Bankow intended, who also had this magnificent upper-middle-class apartment building built at the end of the 19th century in the style of a Florentine city palazzo. Like many of his contemporaries, he also succumbed to the charm of Italian architecture. What luck, because we can still enjoy the red, well-preserved clinker brick facade with its magnificent stucco structure in a sandstone look and the artfully crafted wrought iron balcony grilles. The Rosso town house stands shoulder to shoulder with the Verona town house, both forming a harmonious unit.
