Solar construction in Chemnitz - the European Capital of Culture 2025. Solar domicile V is being built in Schloßchemnitz, the most popular inner-city and yet green district of Chemnitz. The modern solar architecture not only offers light-flooded apartments but also supplies the building with up to 100% renewable energy . This results in a comfortable, sustainable and relaxed residential experience in urban spaces. At the same time, this innovative concept excellently reflects the future viability and value of each individual apartment.

Description

On the venerable Schloßberg, within a view of the Küchwald, the solar domicile V is being built on a corner plot. Nestled between Wilhelminian style houses, the solar domicile V will be a real eye-catcher with its curved and architecturally sophisticated modern facade.

The highlight of the residential complex is the solar package, which in this project is supplemented with a heat pump component, so that oil and gas can be dispensed with as additional heating. The costs for thermal energy are therefore reduced to a minimum. Brilliant prospects for tenants and owners and proof that innovative solar concepts can already be used to create sustainable buildings that are even ahead of politicians' demands.

The building will be constructed using solid construction. Almost without exception, all apartments have floor-to-ceiling windows for bright rooms. Each apartment will have at least one balcony, loggia or roof terrace. From the parking spaces and storage rooms on the ground floor you can access the apartment floors via the elevator and the stairwell. The apartments themselves have upscale outfitting features, including underfloor heating, parquet flooring, some with a bathroom and separate shower/guest toilet. During the construction process, individual finishing trades can still be sampled independently. The solar domiciles I, II and III already received the special prize from the Saxon Chambers of Crafts at the Saxon Innovation Conference 2021.

Location

Inner-city housing reflects our zeitgeist and represents a very special attitude to life: the environment is lively, the leisure opportunities are diverse and varied and the distances to work and friends are short. This nationwide trend can also be observed in Chemnitz, the European cultural capital of 2025. Building plots in good locations close to the center are hardly available anymore. One of the few options currently available to interested parties is on the corner of Ludwigstrasse and Dorotheenstrasse in the popular inner-city residential district of Schloßchemnitz.

The proximity to the Küchwaldpark, the Concordia Park, the castle park and the castle pond create the residential environment with a lot of greenery while at the same time being close to the city center.
