The local "Stäblibad" indoor swimming pool is very popular with endurance swimmers and divers, while the Maria Einsiedel natural baths in Thalkirchen, also part of the broader district, is perhaps the most idyllic bathing spot in the Bavarian state capital. At almost 400 metres in length, the Isarkanal flows through the pools where water treatment takes place exclusively on an organic basis – chemical additives such as chlorine are completely omitted here for a perfectly natural bathing experience. For motorists, Obersendling opens up with the A95. For those who prefer to leave their car at home, MetroBus 63 takes you to the subway station Forstenrieder Allee (U3) in about 2 minutes.
