In planning, construction and operation of CUBIO we pay attention to maximum resource efficiency:

  • CUBIO consumes only 40% of the energy of a comparable new build that meets the maximum permitted value under the Energy Saving Ordinance (EnEV)
  • CUBIO is realised in a climate-friendly timber hybrid construction
  • Exterior walls are timber-frame construction with pre-weathered, low-maintenance wood façade
  • Green roofs host photovoltaic panels that generate electricity used, among other things, to power the groundwater heat pump

... and invest in the future

Those who do not plan to live in CUBIO themselves, or only later, benefit from the advantages of a sustainably good investment:

  • CUBIO is being realised as an Efficiency House 40, i.e. a residential building with an energy consumption reduced to 40% compared with the reference building. This makes CUBIO eligible for state and tax incentives for condominium purchases.
  • In the first five years buyers benefit from a 5% degressive depreciation (regularly 3%) under the new promotion programme for residential new builds, if they do not occupy the property themselves.*

Located among fields, lakes and forests, Aubing offers especially high recreational value.
