Project description

Community
“Am Schlittweg” Mörzheim
In the new development area of Mörzheim, a two-storey residential building with a penthouse level called “Am Schlittweg” is being built, marking a fitting architectural gateway to the Landau village district. The project is being realised as a building cooperative with the aim of creating modern, communal living in Mörzheim.
The housing mix consists of 5 to 7 units ranging in size from 80 to 120 m². Layouts and floor plans remain flexible and can be tailored to the future residents' needs. A key aspect of the concept is communal living, expressed through shared indoor and outdoor areas such as a multipurpose room, community garden and gathering spaces. There is an option for subsidised rental housing.
The building will primarily be constructed using timber and meet the Energy Efficiency House 40 standard.
The next steps involve forming a building cooperative. This group will make joint decisions on planning and construction – offering the advantage of incorporating individual preferences within the framework of the overall concept. Another benefit is a more favourable cost structure compared to developer-led purchases.
