Oberndorf near Salzburg is located around 20 kilometers north of the city of Salzburg and has gained international fame as the town of “Silent Night.” Nestled in the gentle hills of the Alpine foothills, this municipality of 5,850 residents lies on the right bank of the Salzach River, directly across from the Bavarian border town of Laufen – connected by a historic bridge and the European footbridge.
