Altperlach - an idyllic gem to the east of the state capital - part of the Ramersdorf-Perlach district. Standing at the historical, mostly heritage-listed town centre of Altperlach, the Pfanzeltplatz, you almost feel as if you have been transported back to the time when Perlach was still a village outside the city limits: the Hachinger Bach ripples, birds chirp, stately courtyards and isolated townhouses from the turn of the century line the square, in the middle of which stands a mighty maypole.
